Even though bird watching on my back deck and hiking in nature are my most favorite moments to be behind my camera, my love for photography truly comes from capturing special moments in life that are often overlooked. I find this to be especially true when it comes to photographing people. While it is imperative to get those shots with everyone smiling and posing perfectly, I particularly enjoy taking a step back and capturing those candid moments -smiles and reactions- that organically occur when people connect and interact with one another. Sometimes this can be the laughter of a mother when her youngest child touches her nose during a family portrait session. Sometimes it can even be me telling a young professional to ‘give me a sassy smile’ when shooting new headshots for her website. Whatever the scenario, my ultimate goal is to provide a comfortable setting so that I may capture your most authentic self on camera.
